Complaints Authorization Committee
Terms of Reference
The committee shall be responsible for considering allegations about
the professional practice of pharmacists referred to it by the Secretary-Registrar.

The Complaints Authorization Committee shall
consist of all members of the Newfoundland and Labrador Pharmacy Board.

The committee shall carry out its duties in
accordance with the Pharmacy Act and Pharmacy Regulations.

An allegation referred to the committee shall be considered by a panel
consisting of at least 3 members of the committee at least one of whom shall
be a board member appointed by the minister.

The Board shall
appoint the chairperson, and vice-person of the committee.

The
Chair of the Committee shall select panels of not less than three to review
allegations forwarded to it.

Members of the committee shall be
appointed for a term of up to three years and may be reappointed.

The Secretary/Registrar, and his/her delegate, are not eligible to be a
member of the committee.

The committee, or panels of the
committee, shall meet as required in response to allegations received.
