Professional Practice Committee

Terms of Reference

The Professional Practice Committees of the Newfoundland and Labrador Pharmacy Board shall be responsible for professional practice issues and the advancement of the scope of pharmacy practice in the province.

All Professional Practice Committees shall operate in accordance with the NLPB Policy of Committees of the Board, except where otherwise noted in these Terms of Reference.

  1. The Committees and their mandate shall be determined by current professional practice issues.

  2. Each Committee shall consist of at least five members.

  3.  Committee membership should consist of registered pharmacists, except where it would be beneficial to the committee to bring in non-pharmacist expertise on specific issues.

  4.  The Professional Affairs Coordinator shall be an ex-officio member of, act as secretary to and oversee the work of all Professional Practice Committees.

  5.  The Committees may invite non-members to attend Committee meetings where it is deemed necessary and beneficial to the work of the Committee.
